DAP Leaders Could have influenced delegates To Vote Malay Candidates For CEC

Three stalwarts of DAP namely, Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh and Lim Guan Eng could have made a difference in paving the way for malay candidates to be elected to the CEC. But sadly none of them showed any statemanship nor leadership to ensure that at least two malay candidates were elected to the CEC. Instead the two defeated malay candidates , Arifin Omar and zairil Khir Johari were appointed to the CEC.

Karpal spent his speech on glorifying past leaders while LGE spent his time glorifying his achievements in Penang. Both failed miserably to even mentioned that DAP future hinges on the success of projecting a multi- race party rather than one mired in racial chauvinism.

If only the DAP leaders have the acumen to know that a few words of advice to their faithful delegates that it was imperative that the delegates vote in at least a handful of malay candidates , the final outcome would have been vastly different. DAP would have emerged from their electoral two day congress smiling like a rose. It would have shut off all criticsms that it was a chauvinistic chinese party hell bent on pursuing its chinese agenda. But good leaders in the throes of their success sometimes fail to do just the right thing.

DAP leaders should not expect the malay electorate to be appreciative of their gesture in appointing the two malay candidates. Appointment does not bestow the same level of legitmacy as one who is given the mandate by the delegates.

If only leaders like Karpal and LGE had only whispered a few words of advice to the delegates ear, DAP would have scored a convincing victory that B.N would fine it hard to match. But sadly this did not happened and DAP miss a chance of a life time.

RPK Stop Peddling Lies.

Off late, RPK (Raja Petra Kamaruddin) seems to be peddling alot of lies with the main purpose of getting the malays to return to B.N's fold. Several articles penned by him lately seemed to indicate that he is blaming  alot of things on the non malays (aka chinese) for putting the B.N govt in power for the most part of 55 years.
In one of his articles he blamed the chinese for kicking the malays out from the Kuala Lumpur real estate and occupying most of the choicest land in the Selangor area. What he seems to forget is that there was no systemmatic  way the land was obtained from the malays. Free enterprise means that there has to be a situation of a willing buyer and willing seller before any transfer or transaction takes place. There was no force or coercion to force the malay owners to part with their land.So if the chinese bought the land and develop the land until how Kuala Lumpur is today can the chinese be blamed for occupying most of the Kuala Lumpur real estate? For RPK to blame the chinese for kicking out the malays from Kuala Lumpur is one big lie which only reflects his devious intention to encourage the malays to pour scorn on the chinese so that they can return to B.N's fold.
In another of his article, ' The Malays must wake up, Konon' he castigated the chinese for ensuring a B.N victory in the 1990 General Election. He heaped the blame on the chinese for ensuring Mahathir's victory in that election. That in itself is a historical lie. Voting pattern in peninsular Malaysia has always indicated a consistent pattern of urban chinese support for the opposition parties. Even till now, none of the majority chinese urban area was ever won by the chinese representive from MCA which forms the coalition of the B.N. So how could RPK peddle this obvious lie which statistic seems to show the chinese majority never supported the B.N coalition..It must be clearly understood that most if not all seats won by MCA was won in mixed seats where the chinese were  a miniority and that they were able to win those seats because of  malay support. So one can  only speculate why RPK has now resorting to telling all these mischevious  lies in order to to influence the malays to hate the chinese for acts of betrayal which never really occurred..One thing however remains certain. RPK has lost his credibilty and I believe the majority of readers now no longer believes totally what he writes. One person who perhaps shares this view is Haris Ibrahim who wrote in his article 'Get Real,RPK'. I strongly advise readers take a peek at what Haris has written in this article.

EPF PONZI SCAM

Recently, Bank Negara raided the office of Gold Trading company Genneva and confiscated their gold and their record books.Initial investigations according to officials from Bank Negara was that Genneva was operating a Ponzi scam. Now what is a Ponzi scam? The Ponzi scam was started by an Italian by the name of Charles Ponzi.. He started his scheme in the early 1920s by promising  50% profit within 45 days or 100% profit within 90 days by buying discounted postal reply  coupons.in other countries and redeeming them at face value in the United States under the guise of arbirtage. However , the truth was Ponzi was paying early investors with money collected from later investors.and when Federal authorities caught up with him 5 banks came crashing down with him.
After almost one century we have on our shore another Ponzi scam similar to that operated by the original Charles Ponzi.. This was the Genneva gold trading scam. But this is not the only Ponzi scam currently floating in our market. The Govt EPF Ponzi scheme is one gigantic Ponzi which at current value approximate $406 billion.

The current EPF scheme paid by contributors resembles if not is actually a Ponzi scam which for all intent and purpose follow the exact footprint of Charles Ponzi. The only difference is that it has been bestowed the aura of legality.Like its original Ponzi scam, money from recent contributors are used to pay late contributors whose terms may have reached maturity.Further, money collected were invested in long term investments and some were sequestered in dubious investments which were dubious and risky..In 1990s a woman who headed the EPF invested heavily in MBSB which was in housing loan business. The venture ended with a loss of almost $1 billion..Like the Ponzi scheme, if all contributors were to demand payment now the EPF scheme would also collapse like a house of card.
As more and more of the EPF money is taken by the govt to finance its budget deficit , the fund had to resort to increase the contributions from the contributors..The signs are there. Like all Ponzi scams its a matter of time before the govt sponsored EPF scam will follow the same fate as the  Ponzi scam. Only this time the culprit will be the B.N govt..

Dont Be fooled by MCA Free Dinners.

Chinese voters should not be fooled by MCA recent strategy of giving free dinners.Attend those dinners if its free but dont pay for them.Take whatever gifts they give you but dont buy them. There is no such thing as a free lunch. MCA members and leaders think that giving free lunch or dinners will in return get votes for them.

Young voters who recently register to vote should also persuade their parents not to vote for MCA candidates.Remember that every vote for MCA is a vote for UMNO and every chinese worth his salt should know that a vote for UMNO is a vote for corruption and croynism.
Our country is now at a cross road..If we make the wrong decision to vote MCA again we will continue to be governed by the same racist policies that have plagued this country. And MCA being subservient to UMNO will continue to support that policy.

Look at all the past MCA Presidents. Most if not all are embroiled in scandals that have blemished the chinese community and yet despite such frailities MCA members elected a President who was video taped in a porno movie.. What kind of role model is he providing for our young? This only shows that MCA is morally bankrupt. Their own purpose of existence is to continue to cling to the coat tails of UMNO so that those few MCA members could continue to enjoy the cabinet position and some lucrative contracts that UMNO choose to throw to them.If they have vested interest and are so beholden to UMNO how can they look after the interest of the chinese community?

Chinese and other Malaysians must abandon the idea that only a chinese or their own race can look after their welfare and interest. We must support any leader of any race if that person can look after the interest of all Malaysians. For too long we have been programmed by the B.N govt that only MCA can look after chinese welfare, UMNO can only look after malay interest amd MIC can only look after indian interest. That divide and rule concept can no longer be accepted and allowed to continue. Such a concept will only divide our country into racial and religious compartments which in the end will result in a nation fragmented and disunited.

If you love this country, if you love and cherish the future of your children I urge all Malaysians not to cast one single vote for MCA..Let us bury this MCA monster so that it will not continue to fool the chinese people..

MACC, Bank Negara and B.N Govt Must explain $40 Million cash Transit in Hong Kong.

In Malaysia whenever you exit the country you will notice a sign warning travellers that you have to declare to the customs if you carry cash in excess of $10,000. That is also applicable in most countries to restrict travellers from carrying big amounts of  cash out of the country..Perhaps the only difference is the quantum allowed to be taken out.The sign warning travellers of this notice is not an advisory. It is a criminal offence punishable with a fine ,confiscation and in some circumstances even imprisonment.
Under such circumstance, the Hong Kong ICAC should be transparent and inform publicly the manner and nature of the apprehension of the $16 Million (Singapore Dollars) that was discovered by the Hong Kong's ICAC. And more importantly it should revealed its subsequent investigation as to the fate of the $16 million cash that was purportedly to be taken out from Hong Kong.If indeed there was any transgressions of Hong Kong currency laws then why was no action taken to confiscate , fine or even charge Michael Chia who was the bag carrier. The ICAC is doing a great disservice to its own reputaion by remaining silent on such an important transgression of its currency law.It does not augurs well for its integrity if it is seen to be protecting some important political figure by forgoing further investigation of the money exiting illegitimately from Hong Kong. The ICACC should also provide clarificarion whether there are any provisions in its currency law to defer or exempt prosecution of the offence if the money was for political donations as claimed by our Malaysian Govt?In short, Hong Kong's ICAC cannot evade responsibility in this whole sordid episode by merely refusing to comment . This will only serves to confirm the widely held belief that the ICAC was also a party to the concealment and evasion of the transgression which till todate was not satisfactorily explained.

On our local front, it is unfathomable how our de facto Law minister Nazri could proclaimed proudly that the money was a political donation meant for the coffers of Sabah's UMNO. By declaring the status of the $16 million as political donation , Nazri was naive to think that such a flimsy and idiotic excuse could avoid the guilt of receiving such a huge amount..Did Nazri ponder for a moment that in order to receive such a huge donation, the political party UMNO has to perform certain task in order to earn that money.?And its no secret that UMNO is the power behind the govt. That in essence clearly meant that the money received by Musa Aman or Sabah UMNO was money obtained from corruption.
Our Central Bank, should also be castigated for its flagrant neglect of duty. If they can act swiftly on a $10,000 transgression by ordinary mortals exiting the country why is it dragging its feet on an amount of $16 miillion taken into the country?Does Bank Negara has two laws in the country? One for UMNO and one for the  ordinary rakyat?
Lastly, what can you say when our P.M himself can defend the whole sordid episode by  regurgitating what Nazri had trumpeted. It was for a political donation. It was for Sabah UMNO , he said. That sums up what calibre leader we have at the helm of our country..

$23,760,000 a day for the Two AES company?

The recent hasty decision to implement the AES system has caused many Malaysians to wonder which side of the political divide is telling the truth. The Road Transport Department (RTD) has denied that the implementation of AES was aimed at enriching political cronies but instead was for the noble aim of reducing road fatalities and accidents.

Before prejudging the issues Malaysians should focus on some of the pertinent issues and demand an explanation from the Minister of Transport regarding the implementation of the AES system.

1. Why was the AES system implemented in such haste? Were stakeholders consulted prior to implementation?

2. Was any due diligence done to determine the cost and profitabilty of the AES system?

3. Was there any open tender conducted to award the AES contract to eleigible companies?

4. How and on what basis was the ratio of profitabilty being shared between the private company and the govt.?

5.Who are the real owners behind the two companies awarded the contract?

6. Which party initiated the AES system? Minister of Transport or the Road Transport Department. There are many instances where political cronies will approach the minister to implement a scheme and certain portion of the profits will accrue to the minister on the success and implementation of the system.

Among the most pertinent issues that we should pursue with regards to the AES system is the cost and profit that will result in the implementaion of the AES system. Since no statistic has been forthcoming from the Road Transport Department as regards its contract with the two companies we should for the sake of simplicity make estimates that at best reflect the true situation.

Taking Penang as a guide where there are 2.2 million registered motor vehicle owners, let us extrapolate this figure and times the 12 states ( including Federal Territory) to determine the number of registered vehicles. We take the average of 2.2 million ( Road Transport Dept figures) as the average representing all states although some may have more and some perhaps less. At best this is a very conservative estimate. Since our estimate is very conservative it follows that our final result will also be conservative. Since there are 12 states and each state has 2.2 registered motor owners , the total registered owners totalled 26.4 million. Let us further assume that at any point of time 50% of the registered vehicles are mobile on the road. That means an average of 13.2 million vehicles will be plying the road at any given time in all the 12 states where the AES system is implemented. From the 13.2 million let us assume that 2% have committed traffic offence under the AES system. That translate into a figure of 264,000 traffic summonses daily. At the non negotiatiable rate of $300 per summon that translate into a daily figure of $79,200,000 of money collected under the AES system. The share of the two private companies on a daily basis will be 30% of $79,200,000 which translate to an income of $23,760,000 per day. On a yearly basis the income accrued would be $ 8,672,400,000 . And for the duration of the contract which is 66 months the total amount earned would be $47,698,200,000 ( i.e $47billion ,six hundred and ninety eight million and two hundred thousand.)

Please remember that the above figure for the traffic offenders taken was a lowly figure of 2%. If the figure had been 5%, the income earned would be astronomical.

Based on the above figure , is the Road Transport Dept telling us the truth when they say that the implementation of the AES system was not to reap exorbitant profit but to reduce road fatalities.? Let Malaysians be the judge.

Malaysia's Road to Bankruptcy

This govt has lost its plot. Bad fiscal and financial management has led our country down the slippery slope to bankruptcy. And yet despite the warning signs of impending doom to the health of the economy, the govt continues to dish out cash to placate the masses so that it could secure another term of office.

The current National debt of $502.4 billion in 2012 has almost reached its apex legislated debt ceiling of 55% allowed under the constituition. But yet despite the alarming warning bells ringing, the govt continue to disguise their transformation schemes with a plethoria of goodies to its citizens in order to secure another term of office.
The hallmark of its failure to adopt prudent financial management was exerberated by its continuous failure to ensure that govt contracts on procurement of defence equipment and arms are done in a transparent manner. Hence , many of its purchases have been severly inflated at prices that do not seemingly reflect its market value.

This however is not only confined to defence procurement but this prevalent practice is symtomatic in practically all govt departments where all procurement are done in a manner that fails to meet any criteria of transparency.
In addition, govt contracts which are mostly negotiated are more often inflated to cover layers of commission for the persons dispensing the contracts.Hence, the result is poor, shoddy workmanship for completed projects and more often contributed to abandon projects due principally to insufficient funds to cover the project.
Lately, Najib has been pleading for another term so he can introduce many of his Transformation plans. B.N has been governing this country for 55 years. Whatever blueprint they had wanted to introduce would have by now been implemented. So the promise of radical change now is no longer tenable. The proper solution is to allow another new entity to govern for at least a term. From what we have seen in the present states ruled by the opposition, the results have been impressive. So its about time we hand over the reins of Putrajaya to the opposition for at least a term so that we can see if they can implement any change which B.N has so far fail to do.

Najib' and B.N's crumbling Regime.

With each passing day, it becomes more obvious if not evident that B.N's rule is coming to an ignominous end. With the advent of the alternative media, many of B.N's indiscretions have surfaced with such resounding regularity that many of its supporters were left awe strucked by their shennigans. Slowly and daily we hear of previous UMNO stalwarts abandoning their flagship party. It began firstly in peninsular Malaysia and gradually extended to Sabah, B.N's acknowledged fixed deposits. Hardly a day passed without a stalwart UMNO leader expressed their intent to leave the tainted UMNO party.
Yet despite B.N's crumbling stature, Najib has been spouting alot of nonsensical statements. First and foremost was his defiant statement that they would only allow Pakatan to claim Putrajaya over their dead bodies.Would this mean that Najib and  B.N would not relinquish power even if the ballot box had shown they had lost the election? After 54 years on the mantle of power, this only proves the common adage that continous hold of power for any govt could prove fatal to  any democratic government.
After B.N's calamatic failure in the 2008 general Election, one would expect B.N to reform its party and listen to the people's clamour for change, but instead Najib's policy only further alienate the non malays who viewed his often preaching for unity amongst the race as only a hypocritical strategy to garner more votes for the ruling govt. His stance on many controversial issues from Bersih's call for clean election to many expose of the ruling govt's corrupt practice further confirmed the silent majority beliefs that B.N was incapable of any reforms .
Najib's latest comments that only B.N rule was organised, systemmatic and well structured whereas if the opposition was to rule it would be the reversed. This certainly is not true if the opposition states of Kelantan, Penang and Selangor were to be taken as an example. Not only were the opposition in those states doing exceedingly well but their performance surpassed what B.N had been able to do for the last 54 years. And their performance would even had been better if not for the  many obstacles put  by the Federal govt on their paths to obstruct their governance.
Many now view Najib's frequent pleas for unity reforms as empty pledges made only with the view to win votes. It carries very little relevance or impact when most of his rhetorics proved later to be a falsity.

An Advice To Tunku Aziz

Your recent outbursts against DAP specifically and Pakatan generally has shown you to be one vindictive old man..So you think its not funny any more for us to consider Annuar as Prime Minister but its alright to continue the 'charade ' for Najib to be Prime Minister. How you arrive such a conclusion is beyond our comprehension

You claimed that your perception of Annuar has not changed. Then knowing this about the Pakatan leader then why did you join DAP when you were fully aware and conscious that you would in effect be under the lead of the same man you now despise.? Is that not hypocrisy of the highest order? Therefore  was  it not the lure of senatorship that prompted you to accept the post? All this confirm one supreme reality. You are nothing but a hypocrite.

.You have lived under six Prime Minister and so do I. For over 55 years we have lived under the rule of first Alliance and then under Barisan National. Therefore we have experienced a continuoes rule under the UMNO lead with underlings MCA, MIC and Gerakan and a host of other mosquito parties making up the minor casts.
Because of your past association with Transparency International and other NGOs fighting against corruption and being a champion of good governance, we applaud your decision to join DAP and continue your struggle for a just Malaysia.
But all these past glory is now water under the bridge. Malaysians who take pride in your cause no longer view you as a person of integrity and honesty..You let yourself down and most of all you let down all those who pinned their hope on a man who pretended  to be what he is not.

When you were not offered another term for the Senatorship, you immediately showed your true colour. You spewed venom at the very same people whom you had earlier supported. Is that not a selfish act of vengeance unlike that of a woman scorned?
Now to climax it all you direct your. ire at the leader of Pakatan disparaging him as not suitable to be our next Prime Minister..So it appears you have now awaken from your brief slumber in DAP and have realised that Najib and UMNO should continue to reign at Putrajaya . It seems you now no longer feel nor sense that Pakatan should be given a chance to displace UMNO who have reigned for the most part of our 54 years history. All these because you were rightly or wrongly deprived of the senatorship which you craved for your own selfish interest..
Tunku Aziz, it would do well for you to remember those famous words that you can fool some people some of the time but you cannot fool all the people all the time.. God gave you a simple test to show the world your real personna and you failed miserably. For most of your life, you pretended to fight for a cause that you believe was just and noble but alas instead it has shown that it was all indeed a charade of your own design, not Annuar, not Najib but your very own.

Time To Change Our Govt.

Everything this govt does now is merely an attempt to secure another term of office..That is totally contrary to the principle that a govt's duty is to provide good governance not doling out money in order to buy votes from the rakyat. The irony of it all is that Najib himself said that a good govt should not be doling out goodies and promises and yet for the past year he has been precisely doing that. That gesture of Najib has certainly not lost on the urban intelligentsia who has been quick to comment that this only once again reveal Najib's hypocritical character. Saying one thing and doing exactly the opposite.

The country is facing an unprecedented financial catastrophy with its borrowing reaching a critical level of 49.8% when the maximum allowed under the constituition is only 50% of GDP. And amidst such a gloomy scenario the country's Deputy Finance Minister can give an assurance that everything is hunky dory and fine.

Such is the dire straits our country is facing and if the situation is not reversed the only realistic possibility would be another Greece debacle. Malaysians of all creed , race and religion must awake from their 54 years of slumber and change this govt which no longer can reform itself.Otherwise this country is doomed.

Mahathir's worst nighmare.

For a long time since Annuar was dethroned as the Deputy Prime Minister, Mahathir has not ceased to unrelentlessly attack his former deputy. At every turn and at every opportunity he made sacarstic swipe at Annuar. And to Annuar's credit , he did not response in kind but did make a remark that the old man should retire gracefully. That perhaps was his only polite response.
Annuar could have poured scorned at Mahathir for his legacy of leaving behind failed and corrupt instituitions but he didnt. He could have exposed his dubious deals to enrich his cronies and sons but he didnt. Even if he did mentioned vaguely it was only done in whispers but never in vocal condemnation..
Mahathir has  alot to answer for. His frequent retort and rehetorical speech was to help the benign malay populace but the reality of his deed proved that he was more concerned in enriching his family and cronies.
What perhaps will remain a mystery is whether Mahathir will  be made to pay for his past deeds should Annuar ascend to Putrajaya. Mahathir's perception and fear is that Annuar will launched a full scale investigation into his 22 years of corrupt practice which culminated in many dubious deals that enriched his children and cronies. Many of those deals were done in blatant and total disregard to the principles of good governanace. Annuar's ascendancy to be the next Prime Minister would therefore be Mahathir's worst nightmare. A nightmare that has haunted him since 2008  when Annuar at the helm of Pakatan took five states in the last General election.

Malaysians have been Deceived By our Leaders

Malaysians should by now wake up from their .54 years slumber. Our first P.M, Tuanku Abdul Rahman was an honest man. He did not accumulate wealth beyond what he earned from his stipendary. When he died he did not die a wealthy man because during his brief but momentus tenure he was loved by all the races he governed.because he was not corrupt.
This continued. with Abdul Razak's tenure . There was hardly any whisper of corruption or perhaps because there was no independent or alternative media to expose any corruption. But that changed with Mahathir;'s asccendancy.

Under Mahathir's 22 years tenure, many things changed. He left behind a legacy of failed , instituitions which not only became subservient to the executive but in many aspects lost its direction and obligations to the people it was supposed to serve. The judiciary, the Police, the Attorney-General,and a host of othe public instituitions simply became a tool which only served Mahathir.Failure to serve his interests and desire would incur his wrath as happened to the Lord President of the Judiciary, Lord President Salleh.

Not only did Mahathir left behind a legacy of corrupt instituitions but he was himself instrumental and emboiled in many dubious deals which saw his family ensconced as one of the richest in Malaysia.Yet, despite his failings as a leader, we still today have people hero worship him as if he had left a lasting legacy.Sad to say, if truth be told, the only legacy which he left behind was a country destined to be racially divided and in the precipice of bankruptcy.History will truthfully depict him as a selfish ,egoistic leader who hid under the charade of helping the indigeneous malays while enriching his family and cronies.. Many of his supporters claimed his contributions in the development of the country's infrastructure.but building multi million dollar structures and highways do not require any special expertise as long as you have access to unlimited funds from Petronas.Any ten year old who can speak just have to repeat the word ' build it' and presto it will be built.

Malaysians must wake up from this long 54 years slumber and make a conscious effort to remove the present ruling regime which no longer serve the interest of the people..Malaysians must know unless they make this critical decision via the ballot box, this country will degenerate to a third world country similar to Zimbahwee..We do not have the luxury of waiting for another time or another election. We need to do it now, at the next General election.and failure to change this govt is not an option because it will inevitably bring the destruction of this country that all Malaysians love.

Probe all our extremely wealthy Finance Ministers.

No wonder our country's finance is in such dire straits. The latest accusation by former Deputy Bank Governor, Datuk Abdul Murad Khalid if true proves only one thing. That the ruling government has been plundering our nation's coffers. If the former Deputy Governor 's accusation is true then it can be concluded that previous Finance Ministers and present Finance Minister are also capable of the same criminal act.

The system of check and balance must have been so weak and feeble that each and every one of our Finance Ministers must have accumulated untold wealth. So why point finger at only one finance Minister? Daim Zainuddin retired a billionaire. Mahathir, made his family one of the wealthiest in Malaysia if not asia.. His son, Mokzani even was reported to be one of the top 10 wealthiest individual in Malaysia.Lately , Mokhzani's San Miguel brewery company bought over Esso Malaysia. Abdullah Badawi's one term Prime Ministership saw his wealth accumulation leaped manifold with revelation's of his assets in western Australia. What about the present Finance Minister, Najib? His involvement with the Scorpene submarine and the exorbitant commision paid to his close associate, Razak Baginda is already common knowledge.

So what brought out the Deputy Governor from the woodwork after being dormant for almost two decades? If Datuk Abdul Murad is serious about his allegations against Annuar, then he should also reveal the transgressions of Daim Zainuddin and Mahathir. To just single out that Annuar alone was guilty of his alleged transgressions is too far fetched and unbelievable. And if indeed his allegations borders on the truth , then it only portrays a grim picture of how our country's finances have been managed by the ruling govt for the last 54 years.

Malaysia Will Never ever Be a Developed Nation.

To be a deveoped nation in 8 years time is a far fetch dream. But our present leaders espoused the dream as if that goal can be realised.in that time.

After more than 100 years after the American civil war , they now have a black man as the U.S President.. In India, with a population of 90% Hindus, they have a sikh man as their President. Obama and Mamohan Singh share one common denominator. They are a miniority in the country where they are elected to the highest office. These two leaders were elected not because of their religion nor because of their race but they were elected because they were extraordinary persons with extraordinary talent.. Talent that could bring the country to dizzing height of sucess. Both accomplished their goals and vindicated  their election to their office. Obama managed to eliminate Osama Bin Laden, and Mamohan Singh brought India to unprecedented economic development.
While all these events are happening in this millenium, Malaysia is still mired in the debate that our country will continue to ensure that the next P.M will be a muslim malay..Yes, both side of the political divide has agreed that status quo will remain. Both B.N and Pakatan will continue to travel the same route that we had used for the last 54 years.A malay muslim will continue to helm this country no matter who takes over the reign of govt.
It seems regretably that after a span of 54 years we have still not moved away from the bondages of race and religion. Times have changed, countries have changed but for Malaysia, it seems time did not stood still, but we have regressed to a dark period where race and religion still matters.

Does it not seem odd that we should still prefer to be governed by crooks who would not hesitate  to plunder the nation's coffers rather than elect someone who is honest and posesses quality of leadership.? Are this not qualities that we seek and vital for a country to progress and develop?Or do we still prefer crooks who are malay muslims to be our leaders? If that is the criteria to be elected  as a leader for this country then this country is doomed.
Why have we not learned from History? Were we not told that those who dont learn from history are bound to repeat the same mistake?Let us examine some of the present facts. From Indonesia to the middle East where countires are governed by predominantly muslim leaders the scenario is errily similar. The muslim Presidents or despotic feudal rulers are all corrupt. They principally share one common trait. They are corrupt to the hilt. They have no qualms accumulating private wealth from their positions as rulers and Presidents. All these countries suffer the same consequences. The few leaders are wealthy while the mass lives in abject poverty.. This only lead to one inevitable solution. Arab Spring.

Malaysia can neither progress nor can we achieved  develop status if we continue to adopt this myopic way of selecting our leaders. We want the best to lead our nation and we want honest leaders who will accumulate wealth for the nation's coffers and not for his own personal self. We must  therefore adhere to what President of China once espoused. We dont care whether the cat is black or white as long as it catches the mice.

Negri Sembilan must Fall to Pakatan

Negri Sembilan's  present B.N model of government is no longer sustainable. Many pundits has predicted its downfall in the next election and the people believed that it would be good for the state if there is indeed a change of govt. The present and the past government under Isa Samad is no different. The state administrative civil servants are inefficient and things get done in a usual 'tidak apa' manner.
Investors are stuck in a time zone where any kind of approvals are either rejected or simply approved with impossible conditions. The state excos seem to think that every approval have a price to be paid and no payments means no approval.
The recent billboard privatisation was another example of the action to impose surchage which was many times the previous price. Someone in the state govt saw an opportunity to make a quick buck and immediately gave the monopoly to a company that had no expertise in the enterprise. Such practice has become prevalent in Negri Sembilan . You dont need experience or expertise. All you need is political connection and the right cables.
Sand business in Negri sembilan is a lucrative enterprise. More so when it is being monopolised by the chief Minister sibling. A businessman lamented that he sought approval from the exco to mine sand in his own private land and each time it was rejected without any reason being given. He had obtained all his 'sokongan' from the environment dept and the majlis Bandaran but each time his application was rejected by the exco.Altogether his application was rejected three times and he has given up on further application. He couldnt understand  why his application was rejected when the state could collect revenue from the royalty from the sand mined. That perhaps summed up the present Negri administration . Its not what you can give to the state that is important but what you can give to the right people for your application to be approved.

Bersih's 28th april Demonstration.

28th April 2012 will go down in the annals of Malaysian history as a day of infamy.Infamy for the incumbent govt and a  glorious day of  victory for those who yearned for electoral reforms .Nearly 300,000 people from all shades of life came to participate in a show of people's power to display their displeasure at the Election Comisision's  inabilty to provide a clean electoral roll for the next election.
History is replete with examples of how crumbling regimes will use all their might to cling to power and the current govt 's action is no exception. The refusal to allow Bersih's organisor to assemble in Dataran Merdeka was a tardy excuse to disallow the demonstration to take place. The use of unnecessary force to disperse the crowd under the pretext that the protestors had breached the barrier was no excuse.
For a long time Najib and his band of UMNO ministers had paid heed to the small group of  the protestors from Perkasa, Perkida and a small thuggish group from UMNO Youth. These small group of protestors would protest under various pretext at the various issues in the Pakatan States.. They would make frivolous police report and the latter under political pressure would harass Pakatan members. These various bands of protestors hardly number more than 150 members and each time their protest would be use as a benchmark for the authorities to take action. But what Najib and his UMNO members fail to see is that these protestors are only a vocal miniority.
But on 28th april 2012, 300,000 people came to the streets to show their abhorrence at the elecetion commission failure to clean up the rolls. They demand electoral reforms and this protestors constitute a vocal majority. Najib should take heed that this is a sizeable majority who view the flawed electoral rolls and demand immediate reforms before the next poll.If Najib fails to address this demand then any victory in the next election by Najib's B.N would be deemed illegitimate.

Malaysian Education system better than U.S and U.K?

Muhyiddin should be a comedian rather than a federal Minister. What on earth was he thinking when he said Malaysian Education system is better than U.S and U.K. If that is his correct opinion then may we ask why are we spending millions to sponsor our students to have their education in U.S and U.K? Surely it would be a waste of public expenditure if we have to send our students overseas when they can have a better education locally.
The trouble with our education system is because we have so far incompetent minister to helm our education ministry. The present and past ministers just dont have a clue why malaysians of all denominations are abandoning national schools and opting for vernacular schools. Malays alone account for about 60,000 who have enrolled in chinese vernacular schools.
Its about time we have a leader who can have the intestinal fortitude to say we should just leave religion at home and not bring it to schools. Religious prayers of any kind should only done at home and not in schools. On a wider scale, religion should even be totally divorce from the govt.departments. How private citizens wish to conduct their lives and how they wish to worship which religion should be the decision of the individual. State and Federal laws should not encroach on the private domain.. If only we have a leader who can say enough is enough and allow individual to be free in choosing their religion without any influence from any quarters. If that can be achieved, Malaysia would be a better place to live.

Non Malays owned most of $400 billion EPF money.

Ever wonder why suddenly, Najib is so generous to the ordinary citizens? The Cheras toll was abolished and the Kajang toll was halved? Before PLUS was flogged to EPF, the govt was paying astronomical sums to toll owners for making concessions like not raising toll rates. Each time when toll increase was deferred , the govt had to pay compensation in the hundreds of millions to PLUS according to the lop sided toll concession contracts.

Now that the PLUS owners are EPF, Najib seems to be more generous then when PLUS was in UMNO's hands. So far I have not heard any outcry from EPF why no compensation was forthcoming to EPF coffers? After all the losers are the EPF contributors and by now they are already quite immuned to being abused financially.

Remember EPF's investment in MBSB building funds? The woman in charge then lost nearly one billion in her foray in the building loans and housing development.. I wonder till today whether the lost investment has been recovered.

Then what about EPF's forced acquisition of the RHB bank? The purpose of the acquisition was to prevent some of the Directors being charged for committing CBT on the bank's money. Before the EPF's acquisition it was a foregone conclusion that some of the Directors would be charged for the massive losses sustained by the bank due to fraud and negligence. But after EPF's forced acquisition all the charges were suddenly withdrawn and the Directors were never charged for any misdemeanour.EPF, again was left to carry over the losses.

The latest foray by EPF of course is the loan of $1.2 billion to house buyers whose credit was rejected by the banks. The purpose of the whole exercise was to try and secure the votes of the 22,000 potential house buyers in Selangor. After alot of protest from the public the govt finally conceded that the loan would be channeled to the govt via a special purpose vehicle. In this case at least the loan would be guaranteed by the govt but if any losss occur the result would also means that taxpayers money will be lost to bail out the fail venture.

Why is EPF the favourite punching bag of the govt? First of all it is because it is a cash cow. With $400 over billion EPF is seating on a pile of cash waiting to be taken. After all EPF is operating a ponzi system (like the one operated by Pak man telo) where it is collecting cash to pay for whatever commitments that are due. In short it is operating the illegal pyramid system where its daily colllection of cash is used to finance its obligations. If the collection were to stop, the whole structure collapse and EPF would not be able to meet its financial comitments.

The surprising thing which escape most people's attention including the opposition member of Parliament is that 90% of the $400 billion EPF money belongs to the non malays.Since almost 100% of the malays are in the civil service they dont contribute to the EPF scheme. The private sectors are mostly occupied by the non malays and it is mandatory for them to contribute to the EPF. So by sheer logic, EPF pile of $400 billion belongs virtually to the non malays. In view of this it becomes clear that past and present leaders dont really give two hoots what happens to the EPF money.

Mardan Mamat, the successful Malay from Spore.

Congratulations to Mardan Mamat for his victory in the Phillipine Open Golf Tournament. An afable guy with a pleasant personality he virtually killed the field with his splendid display of skill and patience in the difficult Wack Wack course. To put his victory in perspective, only four players played sub par in the final score  and Mardan was a runaway winner wining the Open with five strokes.Mardan's win was the first for any singaporean to win on the asian tour.
A lesson to be learned from Mardan's victory. His victory at the ripe young age of 44 proves that a malay without any handicap can easily excel on a level playing field. Time our Malaysian malays learn a lesson from this Singaporean malay. You dont need any leg up fellows. Practice hard and you will be duly rewarded.

Rolls-Royce opens largest Asian facility in S'pore

Many asian countries would have been shocked to hear that Rolls-Royce have opened the largest Asian facility in Singapore aka the Red Dot.With land space hardly available for such a venture one would expect Rolls-Royce to scour for greener pastures like Thailand and Malaysia. The Rm$1.68 billion investment was the largest ever aerospace investment in Singapore. The 154,000 sq metres facility will' enable Singapore to play a key role in supplying aircraft engines for the latest jets such as the A380 and the Boeing 787 Dreamliner'.
Now why did the investors by passed Malaysia? The answer perhaps can be adequately given by CNN Fareed Zakaria. Singapore is one of the easiest place in the world to do business. They dont have such racist policies like allocating 30%of the shares to bumiputras. They dont have to grease the palms of  corrupt civil servants just to have licence approvals. That perhaps explains why Singapore was the choice of the Rolls-Royce investors.

Govt is Guilty of Breach of EPF Act 1991.

In accordance with the EPF Act of 1991,they are allowed to lend funds to the Federal and State govts including registered corporate bodies. However the Act prohibits the funds from lending to private individual home buyers. No matter how lucrative the profits may be, the Board cannot act contrary to the provisions of the Act. Board members have a fiduciary duty to ensure that they abide strictly to the provisions of the Act or face possible criminal prosecution should they act outside the ambit of their authority.
It is naive of the P.M to claim that the size of the $1.5 billion loan scheme was small relative to its fund size. What is pertinent is not the fund size but whether EPF is allowed under the Act to lend funds to private house owners which is contrary to the Act.
If the govt act is sincere in providing housing to the poor why is it only confined to the 20,000 PPR  tenants in Selangor? This only confirms the opposition claim that the Housing scheme has a political agenda. If not why then is it not open and applicable to all deserving house owners throughout Malaysia? After all the EPF funds are derived from contributors from all the state in Malaysia and not  from the 20,000 PPR tenants.only.
If the govt is  confident that  the scheme is safe , why dont the govt borrow the funds from EPF and used it as a social welfare program. This way if the houseowners default on their payments the fund is adequately protected since the govt will have to bear the brunt of any financial catastrophe. But the govt cannot have the cake and eat it.It wants to provide a conduit to obtain votes with such a populist act but at the same time has  passed the risk to another entity..EPF has once again being used to invest in a scheme that has no chance of making a decent profit. If they are. an attractive investment then why do commercial Banks reject all those houseowners loan?
Before making the decision of lending the $1.5 billion to this scheme, I strongly advice the Board of EPF to revisit their investment in MBSB in the 1990s where they lost nearly 1 billion in the same type of housing loans and development. I doubt very much they have recovered their loss in that investment till today.

Another Malaysian success story.

A Malaysian born  woman who hailed from Petaling Jaya was named dean of award wining engineering faculty of Canada's Waterloo university..Professor Pearl Lee Sullivan , a composite materials and aircraft structure expert would become the first female dean succeeding her predecessor, Professor Adel Setra whose nine year tenure would end on the 1st of July..
Once again it has proven that non malay Malaysians can only excel by going abroad where promotions are strictly based on merits and not on racists policies. One really wonder how many more Malaysians would have similarly climbed the ladder of success had they taken the plunge and venture abroad.
Perhaps it would also be timely to ask our govt why not even one single non malay have ever been appointed as Dean in any of our apex universities. How can any of our prime universities attain world recognition if we continue to adopt a policy of appointing intellectuals based on the colour of their skin and not based on the knowledge and intellect they possess.
The success of another Malaysian in the global stage is a timely reminder to our govt that we cannot remain myopic and that we need to focus on the larger picture of appointing Malaysians based on the knowledge and expertise they possess and not based on the Bumiputra policy .

Why appeal when Annuar should not even be charged in the first Place.

Annuar was charged under section 377A which states that 'Whoever voluntarily commits carnal intercourse against the order of nature shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 20 years, and shall also be liable to whipping". He was charged to have carnal intercourse with Saiful ,the complainant. But should the complainant be exempted from the charge when he was also a party to the commission of the crime under Section 377A? Of course not. Section 377A specifically states that ' whoever voluntarily commits carnal intercourse' Indeed it can be construed that Saiful had consensual sex with Annuar if indeed the act took place. It defintely cannot be construed as rape because Annuar was not charged with rape nor did Saiful allude to any act by Annuar which involved force.

Therefore why was Saiful not charged with the similar offence as Annuar? The fact that he was the complainant does not exempt Saiful from being charged under the section 377A. The only recourse to exemption by Saiful is to file a complaint that he was forcefully retained to perform the unnatural act under section 377A. Had Saiful resort to such a claim ,the complaint would ncertainly be unsustainable. Saiful's physic and size would make it umimaginable for Annuar to forcefully perform any act not compliant with Saiful.

The appeal by the A-G can only elicit one outcome. Annuar will be found guilty either in the Court of Appeal or the Federal court. The whole process of charging and convicting Annuar was already orchestrated the moment when Saiful had a clandestine meeting with Najib under the guise of discussing his scholastic future. Annuar's case is in direct contrast with Razak Baginda's case where it was already ordained by the executive that Razak would be acquitted without even his defence being called.

Contrast both cases and you will have a fair idea why our judiciary and the Attorney -General  chamber cannot , for the moment be a transparent and independent instituition. Not when there are unseen hands always guiding what the judiciary and the Attorney-general should do and should not do.

Annuar Destined to be Jailed.

You dont need to be a rocket scientist to know that the Attorney- General was prompted to file an appeal against Annuar's acquital in the High Court. In the case of Razak Baginda where Najib's involvement was obvious, the A-G did not even bother to file an appeal when Razak's defence was not called..The decision of the A-G in both cases was overwhelmingly biased. What is the rationale for not appealing in Razak's case when the circumstantial evidence was fingered at Razak for being involved.?Then in Annuar's case Judge Zabidin acquitted Annuar after his defence was called and yet the A-G deemed fit to appeal. Surely the grounds for appeal in Razak Baginda's case was more stronger and yet the A-G refused to appeal.
The above two decisions clearly showed that Malaysian judiciary and the Attorney-General department are clearly under the thumb of the executive.
An appeal by the A-G chambers is a sign for the judiciary to ensure that Annuar will fail when his appeal is heard at the court of Appeal. That precisely happened to Karpal singh's sedition case when he was acquitted in the High court but was overturned by the Court of appeal when the A-G appealed the High Court favourable verdict in the Karpal Singh's sedition case.

HAPPY CHINESE DRAGON YEAR TO ALL READERS

A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS DRAGON NEW YEAR TO ALL OUR CHINESE READERS.

P.M and Wife Rosmah in Sydney

It was reported in the Daily Sydney Morning Herald that Malaysian P.M, Najib and wife Rosmah spent a quiet holiday in Sydney. They stayed st the A$20,000 (RM$ 65,100) a night Penthouse (picture) at the new five star Darling Harbour hotel. The Daily news columnist called Rosmah, ' the first lady of Shopping' for spending A$100,000 (RM$325,000) at a Sydney Boutique.
According to the Sydney designer, Carl Kapp, he would be flown to Malaysia next month with a collection of 'toiles' for Rosmah to fit and to complete the order of 61 dresses , tops and pants.
Wonder who is paying for the stay at the hotel and the shopping. With Najib's salary as P.M I doubt he can afford to be so extravagant. Sadly, taxpayer's money will be used to pay for Rosmah's lavish taste.

9th Jan.2012- Annuar's court Verdict

I struggled to wake up at 6.15am when my son Gary came to my room to remind me it was time to get ready for our planned trip to the High court at Jalan Duta.I made up my mind when it was anounced that Annuar's court verdict would be given on the 9th Jan.I was determined to be part of the assembly who would be there to receive the good or bad news. For change to happen there must be a unity in purpose to render support to our Pakatan leader .Today's decision would chart the course of our political future and every one who hope for a change must give that support .
As I drove towards Jalan Duta via the Kerinchi Link the morning traffic had already swelled almost to a crawl at the mid valley section. However reaching Jalan Duta I managed to squeeze to a parking lot some 200 metres from the High court majestic building which looked iconic from a distance. Safely ensconced in the parking lot of the High court , I noticed the gradual parade of dignitaries who came to offer support. There was Haji Abdul Hadi, Lim Guan Eng, and a host of other Pakatan's office bearers.
When the result was finally announced at about 9.15am, the crowd responded with a loud cry of relief and exuberation. With the welcome news received by the crowd, every one left the car park and made their way home. Relief that in some small way I had made the numbers and had witnessed a momentus occassion which could be pivotal for our future direction.
